Soccer Club
Morris United Soccer Club provides recreation, travel and academy level soccer teams for the youth of Morristown, Morris Township, Morris Plains and the surrounding communities. Morris United is a private, non-profit club that works closely with the local towns and school to provide organized youth soccer.
The Challenge
Morris United Soccer Club is a 100% volunteer run organization with over 900 players. The largest challenges they faced revolved around organizing the registration data, communicating with club members efficiently, and “not so secure” volunteer background checks. Morris United previously used a stand-alone software solution, that aside from being costly, it lacked numerous efficiencies that were gained by migrating to the SportsSignup platform.
For volunteer background checks, Morris United’s administrators collected Social Security Numbers for their volunteers on paper and handed off through multiple people before getting to the actual background check. This was an unsecure process and a process Morris United wanted changed.
The SportsSignup Solution
SportsSignup provided Morris United with the tools to run their organization more efficiently. There have been multiple benefits in using the SportsSignup system like the need of required interaction between volunteers and club members during the registration process. In Morris United’s old environment, it was necessary to spend hours each evening answering e-mails from confused parents. The SportsSignup system made it easy to navigate thus making registration quick and easy, and club members immediately receive detailed confirmation of their registrations. No one is left to wonder if they completed the process, or whether or not the registration was received by the organization.
The other enormous benefit to using SportsSignup was Morris United’s implementation of the KidSafePlus Volunteer Background Checks system. This system allows them to process background checks without very personal information being exchanged in an unsecure fashion.
The Customer Result
The SportsSignup registration system provided Morris United with all the necessary tools for their volunteers to sort and manage data, build teams, and communicate with club members easily and efficiently.
