T-Ball 2012

T-Ball: Register for the grade you are currently in this school year. (Pre-K and Kindergarten.)
This is a COED Boys and Girls T-Ball league, scheduled for 2 nights a week starting June 5th for 10 games. Games are scheduled for Tue and Thur at 6:00PM or 7:15PM. Rain Outs dates will be July 17th and 19th. NO games the week of July 4th.

To the best of our ability we will honor the requests for Reciprocal Buddies. There is no max or min number of players for each team however, the intent is to balance each team with 7-10 players for Tee Ball. This way kids will get more touches of the ball, get up to bat more often and are easier to manage for coaches, many of whom are also new to our program. Parents are encouraged to help.

Softball 2012

Softball: Register for the grade you are currently in this school year.

To the best of our ability we will honor the requests for Reciprocal Buddies. Practices and game schedules will be communicated following team assignments.

Grade 1st/2nd:
This is a Coach pitch division using a yellow 11 inch soft sided safety softball. A player who is in Kindergarten for the current season and has played a year in Tee Ball may be "moved up" if the player passes an evaluation.
Games are planned for Tue and Thur with some schedule changes due to weather and field availability. This division will participate in the mid-season tournament Jun 15th at Chanhassen and the end-season Tournament Friday evening July 20th.

For the following groups:

Softball: Grade 3rd/4th:
This is the first division with player pitch and uses a yellow 11 inch soft sided safety softball. Pitching distance is 35 feet.

Softball Grade 5th/6th:
This is a player pitch division and uses a yellow 12 inch softball. Pitching distance is 40 feet.

Softball Grade 7th/8th and Grades 9th/12th :
This is a player pitch division and use’s a yellow 12 inch softball. Pitching distance is 43 feet. Games may be Double hitters starting June 11th.

Games are planned for Mon and Wed -May 14th thru July 22 - with some schedule changes due to weather and field availability. These divisions will participate in the mid-season tournament Jun 16th and the end-season Tournament 3rd week of July. (Format is still being developed.)

With a variety of fundraising options available to today’s youth associations you might be wondering how water softener salt will help CCYBSA meet its fundraising needs? The answer is simple.

1. Water softener salt is something that people ACTUALLY NEED!

2. Water softener salt is something that people NEED A LOT OF!

3. Water softener salt is INCONVENIENT to carry, which means supporters will jump on the opportunity to have it delivered to their home and support CCYBSA!

Goal

CCYBSA has set a goal of raising $5,000 to $7,500 which will be used to help cover field costs, equipment costs, and to keep youth baseball and softball affordable for all families.

Expectations

To accomplish our goals we ask for your support! If the families of each of the roughly 200 athletes that will be playing either baseball or softball this spring sell 12 bags of water softener salt we will raise $5,000. If each family sells 19 bags we will exceed our goal of $7,500! With consumers using 5-15 bags of water softener salt every six months and $2.00 per bag going to CCYBSA we believe this is an attainable goal with your support!

2012 Baseline testing for Concussion Management

All head coaches and assistant coaches (In-House and Traveling) are required to complete Concussion Training prior to coaching any practices or games. There is no cost to complete the training. This is a Minnesota State Law.

CCYBSA is encouraging parents of girls in the program to complete the course as well.

The course is free. The course prints out a certificate of completion which needs to be sent to CCYBSA.REG@gmail.com before any practices start.

Waconia Ridgeview Hospital Offers Baseline Tests for players and Parents:

The ImPACT system was structured to measure attention, memory, cognitive speed and the interplay of speed and memory and is NON-INVASIVE. It is a computer based test.

Ridgeview offers baseline tests for $5. Parents simply need to call and make an appointment. (952-556-2656)

Children need to be a minimum of 10 yrs old.

Baselines should be completed BEFORE beginning a season if they have not already done so and tests are good for 2yrs (unless they have a concussion in that time).
