Welcome to the City of Amsterdam Youth Baseball!!!
We are currently accepting registrations for the 2012 Baseball Season.
Amsterdam Youth Baseball is a not-for-profit organization that provides an organized baseball program for boys and girls, ages 5-12, in the Greater Amsterdam School District.
We have 4 divisions.
T-Ball- Ages 5-6, an introductory program that introduces young children to the fundamentals of baseball. Adults pitch to the players and rules are modified to encourage interest and participation.
Rookies - Ages 7-8, slightly more advanced program, players are taught to pitch and catch. More traditional baseball rules are followed, but still focused on fundamentals of baseball and good sportsmanship.
Minors - Ages 9-10, more competitive baseball, with paid umpires officiating the game. All skill levels participate with equal playing time.
Majors - Ages 11-12, competitive baseball with paid umpires. Slightly larger infield that permits leading and stealing in preparation of high school and regulation size playing field.
Please follow the registration procedure. A parent/guardian must also register when registering their child. Credit cards (M/C,Visa) and personal checks accepted. You will receive email confirmations for your on-line registration as well as notification of your childs tryout time for majors, minors and rookies.
As you register please keep in mind that we are a volunteer organization that relies on help form our community to make us successful. There are a number of ways you can help out so please consider offering your time when you review the volunteer section of the registration.
