**New residence rules this year require that all proof of residence for All Star players be dated BEFORE February 1, 2012. Please make copies of residency paperwork prior to this date**
Pre-season try-outs for the Minors, Majors, and Juniors Divisions player placement and draft are planned for Saturday, Feb 11, ’12 at Clarke University. Watch www.dllb.org for season updates, details, and times.
A few IMPORTANT things to know:
1. All personal information will be held confidential and only provided to DLLB Administration or Coaching Staff on a “Need to Know” basis. Your email and contact information will only be used for the purposes of Dubuque Little League information and registration. Phone number and email contact information is VERY IMPORTANT to allow us to communicate with you about season events.
2. If you are a returning family, your registration Login and Password are the same as last year. All information from last year should still be entered in your account. Please remember to update any change in email and phone information if they occur.
3. After entering your general account information you MUST CLICK the blue “REGISTER NOW” button for each player and adult volunteer in order to complete the registration process. Registrations are NOT COMPLETE UNTIL YOU CLICK THE “CHECK OUT” button at the end of the process. All registrations (players and adult volunteers) should be completed from within the same account.
4. A MINIMUM $25 payment is REQUIRED by Feb. 3, ’12 for your child to be eligible for the draft or to return to their team from last year. Refund of this fee after Feb. 3, ’12 is at the discretion of the DLLB Registration Board and NOT GUARANTEED.
5. A $20 LATE REGISTRATION FEE will be strictly applied to ALL REGISTRATIONS posted after February 4, ’12. All registrants received after this date will be placed on a team at the discretion of the DLLB Registration Board and prior team assignments are NOT promised or guaranteed.
6. All account balances are due in full on or before Apr. 3, ’12. A Payment Plan option is available and outlined as a part of the registration payment process. Financial Aid based on need may be requested as a part of the registration process. If assistance is requested, a representative of the DLLB Registration Board will contact you to discuss your need and options for assistance.
7. Refunds after the Player Draft are at the discretion of the DLLB Registration Board and NOT GUARANTEED.
8. A multiple child registration discount is available ONLY for all siblings registered on the same account at the time of registration.
9. Please consider becoming involved with the Dubuque Little League. A lot of changes are happening and we want all parents’ voices to be heard. If you wish to coach or assist in any way, please sign yourself up (there is no fee) and then register just like you did for child registration. As per the rules of Little League International, all coaching staff must pass a background check prior to coaching.
10. Team assignments are done on a random basis at the younger levels and by draft from the minors through the juniors. We will only consider requests for special team assignments if there is a sibling or a member of your household playing at the same level. 2012 Juniors level will re-draft the entire division.
11. Coach and team assignments frequently change from year to year. Please feel free to contact any of our Board of Directors or leave a comment as a part of your registration if you have a question or concern about any of our policies or coaching staff. All information will be kept confidential.
12. The division ages changed for the 2011 season which allows players to elect to "play up" or "play down" in some cases. The Dubuque Little League cautions parents to consider this option carefully. The divisions are designed by Little League to match players based on size, ability, and developmental level and have been tested over time. All requests to "play up" will be reviewed by the commissioner of the division they are requesting to play in and will be approved if he/she feels it appropriate. Dubuque Little League Board Members may be asked to help make this decision. There may also be instances where a parent would request a player not move to the next level as well. This is considered the same as moving up. Please contact any member of the Board of Directors if you have questions on this new policy.
13. Pants WILL NOT be provided as part of the uniform. Pants will be available for purchase at a significant discount.
