Getting Help from East Greenbush Castleton Youth Baseball

Welcome to the East Greenbush-Castleton Youth Baseball registration site. 

 We have set-up this site to make your registration process easier than ever.  If for some reason you need help you can review the attached Application Instructions.  If you have any suggestion on how to improve the site or wish to make general comments, please feel free to email us.  

Please print out the Medical Release Form and mail it in.    Also if you are new to EGCYB, then you will need to mail in a copy of your child's Birth Certificate and a copy of a utility bill as a Proof of Address.

 ***Based on continued feedback from parents and coaches, and as a continuing effort to provide fun, exciting, and safe baseball for every age group, the league is announcing a change to our division structure for this upcoming 2012 season. 

In an effort to provide a more interactive and exciting brand of baseball for our 7 year olds, we have combined the Minor Prep and Minor Divisions.  The new Minor division will be structured for league age 7 & 8 year olds, while 9 year olds will now play in the International Division.  Due to LL International rules, 6 yr olds will remain in the Mini-Minor Division. 

Although the League is continuing to structure the rules for the revised Minor Division, we wanted to get this notice out as early registration is opening.  Our focus will be on encouraging hitting while still developing pitchers.  The basic concept will utilize early coach pitching and then transitioning to increased 7 & 8 yr old pitching up to four balls and then having a designated coach pitch to encourage hitting.  The objective is to put the ball in play and eliminate the numerous walks, leading to more player interaction all around.

Volunteers - All adults who wish to coach, or will volunteer in any capacity resulting in interaction with league players must submit a completed 2012 Volunteer App. Form and a coaches consent form.  

To complete these forms before printing, place your cursor over the first data field, make your entry and then tab through the balance of data fields in the form (use the spacebar or right click to check boxes).

Completed forms, along with a high quality color photocopy of a government issued photo driver license or non-driver photo ID, should be mailed to: Volunteer Applications, East Greenbush-Castleton Youth Baseball, PO Box 371, East Greenbush, NY 12061-0371.
