Risk Management Adult Registration SystemOverview Illinois Women's Soccer League has a Risk Management Policy to: communicate guidelines and related materials that are intended to foster safe experiences, and initiate risk management registration and background checks for adults participating in US Youth Soccer activity through its affiliated member organizations. Therefore adults (18 years and older) participating in IWSL sanctioned activities must have a background check. Background Checks and Clearance to Participate in Soccer Activities IWSL has developed a convenient, cost-effective way for you to fulfill the requirement of a background check if you are an adult participating in IWSL activities. This on-line method is available to any adult who can complete ALL of the required information and affirmatively check the agreement box. The information provided must be truthful and complete, and IWSL has the right to have the information verified by a third party company. Failure to provide complete and accurate information may result in your disqualification from membership. Generally, risk management clearance will be provided within a few days of your submission, however, if the information you provide is not verified by the third party, YOUR RISK MANAGEMENT CLEARANCE WILL BE DELAYED. IWSL will contact you if your background check reports either a criminal record or does not verify your personal information. During the time it takes to communicate with you to obtain the correct information, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCCER ACTIVITIES. Therefore, you are advised to CAREFULLY review the information you are submitting. Privacy Policy We take the maintaining of your personal information very seriously. This system ensures that only authorized people have access to this information. Your personal information, such as convictions and your social security number are only viewable by the IWSL Risk Management Administrator and your League Risk Management Coordinator. Other administrators only have access to whether you have registered or not, and are eligible to volunteer or not. If your background check reveals information that would result in your disqualification, you will be sent a certified letter with a copy of the background check information.
