Primary (2nd-3rd) teams play on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:30 - 6:45 p.m.
Intermediate (4th-5th) teams play on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:45 - 8:00 p.m.

Senior (8th-12th) teams play on Mondays & Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
TEAM SELECTION PROCESS
T-Ball (K-1st) & Primary (2nd-3rd): Team selection consists of grouping like elementary school players together on teams. We do this with the intent of providing players on the team with girls they may already know. These teams are not exclusive and are usually a combination of schools, depending on registration numbers.
Intermediate (4th-5th)/Junior(6th-7th)/Senior(8th-12th): These teams play for wins/losses and are selected based upon player ability. Every attempt is made to evenly distribute pitchers and ASA players based upon information gathered during registration. Priority placement is given to: 1) daughters of the head coach, assistant coach and team sponsor 2) siblings and 3) players returning to same team.
A word about Carpooling. Games for each Division are scheduled at the same time which allows for carpooling, but not necessarily assignment to the same team.
See the ICGS Website, www.icgs.org, throughout the season for contact information, team standings and additional information.

FRIDAY NIGHT CLINICS BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Join us at Napoleon Park, Field #4

May 4th - June 22nd
6:00 - 7:00 Friday night Pitching Clinics will continue for all ICGS players.
Player pitching begins in the Intermediate Division (4th & 5th grade) but Primary players interested in learning how to pitch may attend as well. These clinics are tailored to the needs of each pitcher - Intermediate, Junior and Senior Division pitchers are all encouraged to attend. Pitchers MUST bring their own catcher.
VOLUNTEER!
ICGS attempts to create enough teams to maximize everyone’s playing time in each division. To accomplish this goal, we need coaches for all divisions. The more coaches that volunteer, the more teams we can support. If you have never coached, we encourage you to consider trying it. It’s a fun and rewarding way to spend time with your daughter, and it doesn’t require much time. The success of ICGS depends on parents who volunteer to coach. All you have to do is sign up online and register yourself as an Adult.
Clarification on Adult volunteer roles when registering online:
Coach: Each team has one official Head Coach.
Assistant Coach: Each team has one official Assistant Coach.
Team Parent: For those interested in helping out with practices and/or filling in when needed.
FIELD IMPROVEMENTS FUND
We are continuing our fund-raising campaign to make the Napoleon fields the best they can be for our players. If you or someone you know would like to contribute to this worthwhile project, please see the section available during online registration or contact an ICGS Board Member. Fundraising goals include:
Lights for fields 7 & 8
Scoreboards for fields 5, 6, 7 & 8
CONCESSIONS
Please take advantage of our great selection of food and snacks at our new concession stand. All proceeds go to Iowa City Girls Softball, which alleviates the need for the girls to participate in other fundraising efforts to raise money for equipment.
Come out and share in your daughter’s excitement this season!
We hope to see you at the park!
Temple Hiatt, ICGS President
On behalf of the 2012 ICGS Board of Directors
