Equipment Return Instructions:  Equipment from Coaches and Players

There are several things that need to be done prior to the equipment return date:
1. All equipment that were released to you MUST BE CLEANED (please see cleaning instruction below);
2. All equipment MUST BE COMPLETELY DRY prior to its return or it will get mold damage when stored. Allow plenty of time for drying time because it will take at least two days for the equipment to dry out completely so don't do it last minute;
3. Please encourage your kids to help with the cleaning (they did sign a promissory note stating that they will be responsible for taking care of their equipment), and let them know that they need to take pride in taking care of their equipment so it will be in tip top shape when they use it next season;
4. If these conditions are met then your equipment deposit will be returned. If it's not returned clean and dry you will forfeit your equipment deposit.

Coaches, please make sure all your equipment (e.g., blocking dummies, shields, etc...) are also cleaned and dry before returning them.

Tips for cleaning the equipment

PANTS AND GIRDLE - wash in warm water and detergent as usual.
All other equipment:  Fill your bath tub or laundry tub with hot water and 1 cup of bleach. Soak knee pads, helmet, and shoulder pads in the bleach/water mix for about 30 minutes and then wash per below:
KNEE PADS- scrub with brush, rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly
HELMETS - remove all interior pads, wash helmet shell and pads , scrub interior pads with brush, rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly and reassemble after dry (some have put it through a cycle in the dishwasher without the pads inside or the pads will get damaged)
SHOULDER PADS - Scrub pads with brush, rinse with clean water and dry
DRYING - Make sure the equipment is dry, let it sit at least 2 days in a warm area prior to returning.

Please remember to return all equipment (e.g., both Purple and White Jerseys, both Game and Practice Pants, Belt, Shoulder Pads, Knee Pads, Girdle, and Helmet – you keep the mouthpiece and socks) cleaned and dry.  We will not accept the equipment unless they are in a clean and dry condition.
