Welcome to the Lake Norman Ducks coaches and volunteers KidSafePlus registration site. Our league (GCYAA) requires background checks for all coaches and volunteers. In order to keep our player registration fees low, we ask that all coaches and volunteers pay the $10.00 fee required to process the background checks.
Coaches
All coaches must be approved by the league executive board. Coaching assignments are for one year only from the date of approval. Coaches must re-apply for coaching positions annually.
Head coaches must be 21 years of age and must complete the AYF Coaches Certification. The coaching staff will be under his direction and supervision.
Assistant coaches must be at least 18 years of age and have graduated from high school or hold a GED certificate. They must have general knowledge of the game of football.
Head coaches are required to be certified through any League sanctioned training program. The league may also require assistant coaches it be certified.
Head coaches are in complete charge of their players. They are responsible for their own actions, their assistant's actions and the actions of their players and the parents of their players.
All coaches must pass a background check in order to complete their certification.
All coaches must sign the GCYAA Coaches Code of Conduct.
