Getting Help from Mounds View Lacrosse
|
Welcome To Mounds View Lacrosse!
Thank you for signing your child up for Mounds View Youth Lacrosse’s 2012 season.

- Begins the week of March 12
- 2 practices per week at Shoreview Arena
- Coordinated through Swarm YBL
- Summer Outdoor (Grades: 3/4, 5/6A, 5/6B, 7/8A and 7/8B)
- Begins the first week of June
- 2 practices per week at McCullough Park or designate
- 1 or 2 games each week (home and away)
- No Saturday games unless the team plays in a tournament
- Coordinated through YLM Summer League
Equipment Needed: Lacrosse helmet, stick, mouth guard (purchase more than one), gloves, shoulder and chest pad, arm pads, and protective cup. If you need to purchase a stick, make sure you get a boys stick and not a girls as the two are significantly different. Goalie gear will be provided by the association. Please note that Minnesota Lacrosse forbids the use of a hockey helmet as a substitute. Hockey pads are ok to use, but they are heavier and bulkier than lacrosse pads.
Some places to purchase equipment: Dave’s Sport Shop in Fridley (they have the area's biggest selection of lacrosse gear and if you will receive a discount if you mention you are with MV Lacrosse), Dicks Sporting Goods, Sports Authority, Athletic Outfitters and Play It Again Sports.
Volunteer Opportunities: This is an all-volunteer run organization. If you would like to help us grow and develop a quality program, we’d love to have you join us. Some of our needed opportunities:
- Age Group Coordinator
- Association Communications Coordinator
- Board Opportunities
- Equipment Manager
- Field Scheduling Coordinator
- Game Timers/Scorekeepers
- Special Events/Tournament Coordinator
- Volunteer Coordinator
