Fall 2010 Ripples U4
LATE REGISTRATION: placement if available
A program to introduce soccer to 3 year olds. The sessions will be only on Saturdays at 9:00-9:40 and 10:00-10:40am. Each Saturday players will participate in 30/40 minutes of skill training using fun games and progress into 10 minutes of a simulated soccer scrimmage. Instructors/mentors will be provided by the league but parent volunteers can sign up to help and are always needed. Players will receive a t-shirt but would provide their own socks, shorts(black),shoe(cleats preferred), shin guards and a size 3 ball. Cost is $50.00 for first player and $45.00 for each sibling after that. Play requirements: Fall season - must be 3 by July 31st but not 5 until Aug 1st of next year. Spring season -must be 3 by March 31 but not 5 until Aug 1st (Aug-March DOB need to finalize registration through help at bottom of choose session page). Players must be out of diapers and able to stay in the playing area.

Advanced Open Academy Fall 2010
This is a free program for U7 and U8 players registered this season with NRS who want a progressively challenging training session. The training sessions will be more intense and at a faster pace. Players signing up for this will be expected to participate in all 8 weeks and be prepared to build on what was learned the previous week. This program is geared toward players who are interested in the option to go to competitive soccer at U9.

Open Academy Fall 2010
This is a free program for U5 – U18 recreational players and coaches registered this season with NRS. Players participate and coaches watch complete training sessions from beginning to end. Proper terms, skills and techniques are demonstrated and used. Players are asked to reg with notification of dates not attending. Mentors are assigned based on how many players are attending.

Fall 2010 Adult Advanced League
This league is open to adults 18+, and is for the more advanced adult soccer player seeking to play in a more competitive environment. Practices are Wednesday evenings and games are on Saturday evenings. Player must provide own equipment.

Fall 2010 Adult Recreational League
This is a recreation league for adults age 18 and above. This is a non-competitive league which means team standings and score are not tracked. This is a great league if you are a parent or a coach who wishes to learn more about the sport of soccer. Practices are on Wednesday evening and games are on Saturday evenings. A Player must provide their own shin guards, ball, and cleats.

Mentors Only (To Become a Mentor) Fall 2010
Objective:
The mentor is to assist NRS coaches in the proper technique of ball mastery, foot skills, passing, general laws of the game and general tactics of the game. Mentors are there to demonstrate and to assure the coach that proper technique is being taught. They are not to be used to run practices but to assist in running the coach’s practices. Will also lead Open Academy and Ripple sessions.
Mentors Requirements-
Will be at least 15 years of age and we strongly recommend to have audited their E Lic. and have a referee license. Most will have had several years of playing competitive soccer at D3 level minimum with most having
played at D2 and D1 level.
Jr. Mentor Requirements-
U13-U14 D3 or higher playing experience. Assist mentors for Ripples and Open Academy. May help with teams based on DOC or VP approval.
Pre-mentor volunteer age U11-U12 with D3 playing experience. Assist mentors with Ripples and Open Academy.
Adult Mentors Volunteer
D3 or higher, college or professional playing experience, E lic recommened. Would help VP of Player and/or program coordinators with proper practice instructions for rec coaches & programs
