2011 Online Registration!
OPLLF Mission: To create, develop and maintain the highest quality youth football and cheerleading sports program in Western New York. Our program will focus on teaching and developing fundamental football skills as well as promoting and assisting in building essential qualities in our young people.

Cost:
Registration fee: $135 football, $100 cheerleading plus
Volunteer/equip. return fee: $25 per participant, max. volunteer/equipment fee is $50 per family
Note: $135 registration fee for football includes the players jersey which they keep
HJK League Age Participation guidelines:
***The new league age cutoff date is 9/1
All participants shall have a league age between the ageas of 6-14. League age shall be the participant's age prior to 9/1 of the calander year of that season.
- All Pee Wees may not reach their 9th birthday before 9/1. Minimum age is 6 yrs old by 8/31/11.
- All Freshmen may not reach their 11th birthday before 9/1
- All JV's may not reach their 13th birthday before 9/1
- All Varsity may not reach their 15th birthday before 9/1
Important!!!!
1. All participants shall follow the above league age determination guidelines, there ARE NOT any grandfathered players
2. There will be "restricted stripers" at all levels this season
- Pee Wees - 90 lbs max, striper up to 110 lbs
- Freshman - 110 lbs max, striper up to 130 lbs
- JV - 130 lbs max, striper up to 155 lbs
- Varsity 155 lbs max, striper up to 180 lbs
3. Restricted stripers have specific rules that pertain only to their designation, this includes:
- Stripers will be identified on the official rosters and will be identified on the field with a helment decal
- Once designated as a "striper" on the official roster, that player may only change status, either up or down, once during the season.
- Stripers are not allowed to advance the ball on offense or defense
- Stripers may not play in a 2 point stance (i.e. they must have their hand on the ground)
- Stripers are not allowed on kick off or kick off receiving teams
- Stripers are never eligible to carry or catch a pass on offense
- Only 5 "striper" players per team will be allowed on the field at any given time

Brief Description:
Online registration shall be open for veteran football players, cheerleaders and siblings of veterans ONLY beginning March 26th and open to all registrants beginning April 2nd after 2pm. Any new players registering online before April 2nd at 2pm will be deleted from the system and will have to re-register in person or online during the times indicated. Roster spot preference will be given to veterans through April 2nd, all new and veteran players registering after this date will be on a first come first served basis for those rosters which may be filled. By league rule, rosters may not exceed 40 players and players 37 thru 40 are technically on a waiting list until the roster is set prior to the first game. Waiting list player order is determined by time of registration, with the earliest being first.
Note: A Veteran Football Player or Cheerleader is a participant who was on a 2010 HJK roster, all others who register during the veteran only registration period will be put on a waiting list until open registration begins on April 10th and will be slotted as described above on a first come first served basis.
What to bring 1st week of practice:
1. proof of physical dated after August 1, 2010
2. current photograph
3. copy of birth certificate
Coaches:
Only those coaches which have been pre-certified and contacted by the OPLLF coaching coordinator may register themselves online as coaches. There is no charge to register as a coach and doing so will give you online access to your team roster during the season for purposes of emailing and tracking information on your players.
If you are interested in helping out in any manner with OPLLF please register yourself as a volunteer and specify your area of interest, again there is no charge to register as a volunteer.
In Person Registration
In person registration will be held on April 2nd at the OP Middle School. Registrations will be accepted from returning veterans from 10am-12pm, registrations will be accepted from new players from 12:15pm-2pm.
