Getting Help from Plainfield Prowlers

Online Registration only accepts Credit Card payments. You must appear at one of our In-Person Registration dates to pay by check or cash. Dates and times can be found on our website.

The Plainfield Prowlers is a Plainfield, IL youth athletic organization founded in 2005 and focusing on tackle football and cheerleading for K through 8^th graders . Our mission is, “to enrich the lives of Plainfield area youth through their involvement in competitive athletics, where winning is just PART of the goal.” Although we feel competitiveness and a winning attitude are desirable ingredients in youth development, we feel there are many other important aspects as well. It is these "other important aspects" that, unfortunately, are often times not touched upon in a child’s youth sports experience. It is our goal to help close this gap. Our coaches understand the importance of not only teaching their athletes the necessary fundamentals of their respective sport, but also teaching them the needed life-skills they will rely upon in order to be successful throughout their student-athlete years and beyond. Our motto of, “professionalism in youth athletics, where the athlete is first and winning is second” is at the core of our coaching posture. Our coaches understand they have seven critical responsibilities as a youth coach:

2. Communicate in a positive way
3. Teach the fundamental skills of the sport
4. Teach the rules of the sport
5. Direct participants effectively in competition
6. Help participants become fit and value fitness for a lifetime
7. Help participants develop character.
