Registration Information
Fall Travel and Recreational Programs: registration opens May 19, 2011 for the Travel Team Program and June 15, 2011 for the Recreational Program. Play will begin in the fall of 2011 and continue in the spring of 2012. Please read all of the information below before you begin the online registration process.
Young children ages 4-10 should register in the Recreational Program. There are now three divisons: Co-ed U6 (for ages 6 and under), Co-ed U10 (ages 7,8,9 turning 10) and a U19 for anyone older than 10 who wants to play soccer but either never had the opportunity or is not interested in the committment of a travel team. This player will practice with the travel team that is most age appropriate but not play in the games. You must speak to a coach before registering for this last U19 option. Spring play for the Recreational program will begin on April 14, 2012 at Stone Church Field. The U6 group will once again meet from 9-10:15 AM and the U10 from 10:30-11:45 AM. For more information about this program contact Andrew Binnie apmcbean@yahoo.com or 845-876-0641.
If you are registering a child in the Travel Team Program, you need to know the division (BU13, BU14, etc.) and the team name (Rebels, Riot, etc.) before you start to register. If you are not sure, contact your coach. Do not signup for a travel team unless you have the permission of the coach. For more information about the Travel Team Program, contact Jon Gautier, 845-876-1086 or jongautier@yahoo.com.
This year the online registration process will only accept credit card payments. If you must pay by check, YOU CANNOT REGISTER ONLINE. You must send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Jon Gautier, Rhinebeck Soccer League, 404 Sepasco Center St, Rhinebeck, NY 12572. He will then send you a registration form to complete which you will return with the check for the correct fee and we will then complete the online registration process for you.
Near the end of your online registration process, you will print out a copy of the "Registration Agreement." This needs to be signed and given to your coach. We also need a small "wallet size" digital photo with your child's name and team name clearly labled. If your child is playing for the first time you also need to send a copy of the birth certiificate.
Fees and Discounts:
Travel Soccer which includes both fall and spring seasons: $165.00 (includes practice tee and bag)
Spring Only Travel Soccer (currently only high school teams): $125.00
Travel Uniform Kit: $70.00 (includes both home and away jerseys, shorts and socks)
Recreational Soccer: $100 for both fall and spring (includes jersey, ball and string bag)
If two or more children in your family are registering for the Travel Team Programs, the computer program will deduct $40.00 from your total bill for the second child and $20.00 for the third child. There is no multi-player discount for the Recreational Soccer Program.
Parents who serve as coaches, assistant coaches, board members, committee chairs and referees (level 8 and above) also receive discounts for their children. Discounts for each Travel Team are limited to one Coach and one Assistant Coach. Discounts for the Rec Program are limited to one Head Coach and as many Assistant Coaches as necessary for there to be a 10:1 player to coach ratio for each age group. However, the computer program cannot process these discounts and we are no longer accepting checks. If you want the discount for your child you must complete the paper registration form by hand (available from Jon Gautier) and let the registrar register your child or children in the computer system. If you register yourself online as there is no fee for coaches or assistant coaches registration, you may not get the discount if you try to register your child online.
- 100% discount for the first child if parent is head coach of a team.
- 50% discount for first child if parent is an assistant coach, board member, committee chair, or registered level 8 or better USYSA referee or assignor.
Volunteers
The Rhinebeck Soccer League depends on parent volunteers to keep things running smoothly and safely. Please consider serving as a Team Manager or Team Parent.
