Welcome to Scarsdale Youth Basketball
Fall 2011 Tryouts: SYB tryouts are open to all kids in grades 5-8. Please note that like last year, we are handling all registrations for Fall 2011 Tryouts using this electronic signup procedure. Please begin registration by creating an account for yourself (i.e., the parent) by clicking the "Register" button above using your email address and creating a password. Once you have established an account for yourself, you need to ADD your child or children to give them an account. Once you have done that, you need to be sure to REGISTER your son or daughter for the Tryouts. To do this, you will need to answer a few questions. Once you have done this, you will be taken to the "Checkout" page where you can complete the registration. You should receive an email from scarsdaleyouthbasketball@gmail.com confirming that you have successfully created an account. Once you log on to your account, you should see next to your child's name confirmation that he or she is registered for Tryouts.Â
< This year, tryouts will be held October 3-7 and October 11-14. We will be emailing out specific times/dates to all of those who have registered on the
system once we have them. We will also be publishing them on the Scarsdale Youth Basketball website www.scarsdaleyouthbasketball.com.
For those who registered for last year's tryouts, you still have an account in the system. You will need your email address and password to access your account, and then you can easily renew your child's registration.
For those who have not been through a tryout process, we have our guidelines published on our league website (noted above). Currently, we have the 2009 guidelines posted. We will update that shortly but we do not expect there to be an material changes from last year. In general, we hold three tryouts for each grade. Independent evaluators run each of these tryouts. All players will be asked back for a second tryout session. Teams will be narrowed after the second tryout and final teams will be made after the third tryout. We will email all parents irrespective of whether your child makes or does not make a team.
Fall 2011 Team Registration:Â If you are notified that you have made a team, you will be asked to come back to this site to register for the Fall 2011 season.
