Learn To Skate, Spring I 2012
This is a course designed to teach the basic skills of ice skating that can be used for recreational skating, or a foundation for future hockey or figure skaters, or an alternative year-round exercise program that is really fun! Open to ages 3 and up. Skaters are encouraged to wear a helmet (bike and ski helmets are fine), snow pants, warm gloves/mittens.
This program consists of 7 one hour, weekly sessions. Each session consists of 1/2 hour group lesson and 1/2 hour free skating. All skaters should stop at the lobby table when they arrive the first day to obtain their lesson time(ie, first 1/2 hour or second 1/2 hour of their session).
PLEASE NOTE: Walk-in registrations and registrations on the same day as a class are discouraged, since we may not be able to place you in a lesson group until the following week. In this event, you would be welcome to free skate for the entire hour of the first session.
SESSION DATES, TIMES, and LOCATION:
Monday, MARCH 5th - April 16, 6-7 pm (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN START DATE FROM SCHOOL FLYERS)

Saturday, March 3 - April 14, 12:20 -1:20 or 12:50 to 1:50. Please check in prior to 12:15 on the first Saturday to confirm your lesson time.
All sessions are held at the Schenectady County Recreational Facility, 5 Tower Road, Glenville, NY.
COST: $99. A $15 late fee will be applied for registrations after 02/26/2012. Skate rentals available for $3 per session.
SPRING SPECIAL: Sign up for Spring I and add on Spring II (4/23-6/11), Summer (7/16-8/27), or September (9/10-10/22) for just $60 per session. Must register for all programs at the same time. Classes for Spring II, Summer and September are ONLY offered on Monday nights.

Mini-Mite Hockey Spring 2012
A class designed for fun at a price that can't be beat! The class will meet once per week and will combine skating and stick-handling drills with cross-ice and small area games. Open to all skaters who are able to skate unassisted, including the participants of SYHA's 2011-12 Intro to Hockey and Mini Mite programs. Required gear: helmet with face cage, elbow pads, gloves, shin guard, pants, chest protector, skates, and stick. A limited supply of free loaner equipment is available.
SESSION DATES AND TIMES: Sundays, March 25 - May 6, 11:20-12:20pm (there will be no class on 4/8)
COST: $85.00 A $15 late fee will be applied to all registrations after 3/18/12. Add $35.00 if a reversible garnet/white jersey is needed.
Recreational Ice Hockey ages 8-13 Spring 2012
Designed as an introduction for the older boy or girl who can already skate, but has had no formal hockey experience or instruction. Full gear is required, however a limited supply of loaner equipment is available. Sizes are limited. You must provide your own skates, stick, and sport jock.
Program will include all of the fundamental skills of hockey: skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting. Each session will end with a small area game.
A great chance to give a great sport a try! Class size is limited.

COST: $85.00 A $15 late fee will be applied to all registrations after 3/18/2012. Add $30.00 if a jersey is needed.
