Silverback
Wrestling Club Mission:
Our mission is to create Champions on and off
the mat!
Our goals are to get our wrestlers wrestling
in college and to build and help mold great individuals that will give back to
the community. We focus on teaching the very basic to the most advance
techniques the sport has to offer.
Presently, the Silverback Wrestling Club
averages about 100 members a year.
We go to many in-state and out of state
tournaments year round and our club has produced some of Connecticut's best
youth, middle school, high school and college age group wrestlers. Our
club is a place where the sport of wrestling is our focus, but that is not
all. Being a Silverback means you are fulfilling your responsibilities in
school, at home and in the community. The Club instills values that hard work,
determination and discipline that are the great building blocks for life.
The biggest reason our Club is successful is
due to the community help we get and the great coaches and parents that
volunteer their time to help out. We also have many
coaches that were great wrestlers at the High School, College and
National levels and they know the sport inside and out. Our coaching
staff is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable in the area.
The best part about our organization is it's
more like a family than just a club.
