Welcome to the Simsbury Trojans Youth Football online registration page.
Parents, please read the notes below carefully before you register your player.
If your child or children played last year please log in to your account or reset your password if you dont know the old password.
Note: Payment must be received to fully complete the registration process and guarantee your player a spot on the roster.
Simsbury Youth Football will play in an "All American" format for our Fall 2011 Football season. Teams are formed by grade level, with no weight considerations. When registering your child, please use the table below as your guide when selecting a team.
In most circumstances, you will simply register your player using his or her FALL 2011 SCHOOL GRADE as your guide. In very few circumstances (i.e. if the player is young for his/her grade - see table below) players may be allowed to play down one grade level.
SYFL reserves the right to move players, within the league parameters stated below, to other teams in the interest of safety and/or team balance. We will discuss this with the parents of the players if this happens.
NOTE: Second graders who turn 7 on or before 12/31/11 are eligible to play on the 2nd/3rd Grade Team.
Please note that team rosters will be limited to assure playing time for all players. Players who register after the limit has been reached will be placed on a wait list. There is no guarantee that a waitlisted player will be placed on a team.
The Football Registration Fee for 2011 is $295. Remember that your registration fee includes 10 raffle tickets ($100 value) that you can either keep for yourself or sell to recover that portion of your fee.
There is a maximum per family fee of $590. For example, a family with 3 football players will only be charged a fee for the first two players.
Football registration also includes a Trojan T-Shirt and food/drink at the Pre-season Barbecue in August.
In addition to the information provided during the online registration, parents must provide the following information to the league during the first week of practice:
- Completed Doctors Consent Form (available on our website)
- Completed Medical Consent and Information Form (available on our website)
- Original End of Year Report Card (2010/2011 School Year)
- Original Birth Certificate
A table will be set up on the first night of practice to collect the information/forms above. League officials will be present to help parents complete the needed paperwork and answer any questions.
All of the information above is mandated by our National and Connecticut parent leagues. The Birth Certificate and Report Card will be returned at the end of the season when the player's equipment is returned.
