The Smithtown Kickers Special Soccer Program
The Smithtown Kickers Special Soccer team is comprised of boys and girls from 5 to 21 years of age who meet for an hour on Saturday for a nine week season each spring and fall. Our players are physically and /or mentally challenged with a varying degree of ability. Though we have a number of adult Coaches working with approximately 20 players, we enlist teens from the community who volunteer to work one-on-one or as needed with our players. The “Buddy” may hold the players hand, provide instruction, redirect or just shadow a player. New players are always welcome to join the team and we are always looking for buddies to work with the team. Buddies should be 14 years or older and have some experience working with autistic or handicapped children, or teens.
New players and Adult Supervisors : You will use this system to create an account for your family, then add individual players. Once you have added all individuals participating, you need to click "register now" next to each name to complete the registration process. When entering registration information you must enter your full /legal name. No Nicknames or shortened names or your registration will be held up.
