Somers AYSO 'Fall Classic' Soccer Tournament Information
Somers is hosting their 2nd Annual AYSO Fall Classic Soccer Tournament on Saturday November 21st, with the cooperation of Somers Youth Sports Organization and the Somers Department of Parks and Recreation.
The tournament will consist of boys and girls divisions U9 through U15. Coed teams will play in the boys divisions. The first 5 teams in each Division (boys & girls) will be accepted. Additional brackets MAY be added if necessary
This is an Open Invitational tournament open to all AYSO and Club Teams that play in Division 2 or lower. Net proceeds will be used by the region to help cover expenses of sending teams to the 2010 AYSO National Games. The Region 95 Commissioner and Tournament Board reserve the right to turn down registrations.
Games: All teams will play a minimum of four 24-minute games in a round robin competition at 2 state of the art artificail turf fields located at Somers High School and natural grass fields at Reis Park. This is a patch/pin exchange tournament. Please be prepared to exchange your club's patch/pin at the conclusion of each game. Games will be played rain or shine.
Awards: First and Second place teams in each division. Each participant will receive a tournament patch.
Application: A separate application for each team must be submitted. The entry fee is $350 per team (which includes a $100 refundable referee fee). Confirmation of your acceptance will be by email. Only $100 will be refunded for teams that cancel after registration acceptance. We are currently accepting payment by check only at this time. Mail your checks payable to Somers AYSO Region 95 to Edward Heller, P.O. Box 212, Lincolndale, NY 10540. Regions may pay for their teams in full with one check, however teams are not considered registered until payment is received.
