* IMPORTANT SYSTEM &  Registration Information

*    New accounts:  All families (one/two parents and children) are required to create an account the first time logging into our system.  Please add family members, by choosing the add children or add adult options. Individuals registering must be age 18 or older. Parents/Guardians are responsible for registering minor participants.  

*    After new account creation:  After an account is created this registration system will be used to register and make payments for any of the available programs. Through the registration system, you will have access to all account information including payments due, payments received, due dates, outstanding balances, etc. 

*    Payment types: USA Curling accepts Visa/MasterCard, Debit Cards, or checks by mail. 

*    Multiple players: If you have multiple players, please register them all at the same time.  To do this after completing one registration click the "continue shopping button" to register another player. All participants are required to complete their own consent forms. Family registration accounts permit two adults and their children within the same account.

*    Team rostering: Team members will be rostered by the USA Curling Event Services Manager as soon as possible after registration and eligibility verification have been completed. After being rostered to a team, you can view other members on your team that have also successfully completed the registration process. If any information is missing after team rostering has been done, you will be contacted. Please make sure your account information is current so you can be easily reached. Team members will not be rostered if any registration requirements such as payment receipt by the National office, providing acceptable proof of citizenship, completing the entry process, etc.,  is incomplete. Events with the closest deadlines will be given primary attention by the ESM.

*    Registration requirements: A completely registered four-person team, full payment of all registration fees and acceptable proof of citizenship (for events leading to a World competition) must be received at the National Office PRIOR to the event deadline date and time. Be sure to familiarize yourself to the rules by referring to all applicable information within the USCA Rules & Procedures manual located online at www.usacurl.org. It is the athlete's responsibility to see that all requirements are completed by the entry deadline date.

*    Register early:  Incomplete entries or those in progress when the deadline occurs will not be accepted by the registration system. Additional administrative time is required after competitors register for processing data and rostering teams. Event deadline cutoff time is 11:59 pm Central but the National Office closes at 5:00 pm. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE ENTRY DEADLINES. IF THE ABOVE STATED REQUIREMENTS HAVE NOT BEEN RECEIVED BY THE USCA OFFICE BY THE DEADLINE DATE AND TIME, THE TEAM WILL NOT BE ENTERED. TO AVOID PROBLEMS, TEAMS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER AND PROVIDE THE INFORMATION TO THE USCA TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE ENTRY DEADLINE DATE.  

 *    Uniforms:  Be sure to note information within the Rules regarding "Uniforms"  "Advertising, Cresting". At all levels of play, competitors are encouraged to wear like uniforms, including pants, shirts and jackets. At USA Curling National events, players are required to wear like uniforms.

*    Fifth Player Registration: Fifth players should checkout via the "pay by check" method but not send money. No fee is required of fifth players or coaches. Fifth players need not be declared early unless the team is certain that they wish to do so. It is advised to have any potential fifth players register early but he/she will not be rostered to the team until an official declaration has been made by the team. Early registration for fifth players ensures that all documentation is in order prior to the event . Please ask any potential alternate players preregister to eliminate any last minute issues. It is extremely difficult for the event's Chief Umpire to process registration data while also managing the event. Any player eliminated from competition is eligible to become another team's registered fifth player only at a subsequent level of play. Teams registering five players at entry time have NO option to add an additional player for any reason except at the World Championships as noted within the Rules Book. You can check your team roster to see if your fifth player or coach has been rostered to your team. If so, it is because all registration information for them seems to be in order.  If an event deadline date has passed, an alternate site for registering "Post-Deadline" will be available; please register as early as possible.

*    Coach registration: Coaches should register under the “Volunteer to work with a team" section of the appropriate registration site by clicking on the "Register as Helper" button. No fee is required of fifth players or coaches. Coaches are required to register online. Youth/Junior National team coaches are required to submit to a background check. A team coach can be changed but he or she must be registered according to the rules. If an event deadline date has passed, an alternate site for registering "Post-Deadline" will be made available; please register as early as possible.

*    Entry fees: Team entry fees have been divided up among a team's four primary players (as applicable). If a team wishes to pay the total team entry fee at one time, please contact the national office to make arrangements (entries@usacurl.org or call 888-287-5377).

*     Opting out: Although you can opt out of Sports Signup email communications, please remember that the email address provided during registration, is the email address where the seeding ballots will be sent and any additional communications from the USA Curling National Office are directed. Be sure that any time sensitive documents such as seeding ballots are returned promptly and please keep an eye on your email account and cell phone in case we need to reach you quickly.

*    Online registration system security: The entire registration process occurs over a secure server using the highest security currently available.
