Young women looking to maintain and build on their skills in the off-season away from high school and college may want to sign up the inaugural FCW ELITE WPSL team tryouts, scheduled for the winter break.
Jaunary 4th, between 5:00pm and 7:00pm at White Plains High School's turf field and January 7th 10am to 12pm at White Plains High School's turf . They are open to players from college as well as high school seniors playing at the premier club level who are looking to play college soccer. College graduates and international players are also very welcome to sign up.
"We're looking to find Selected high school , college, post-college, former professional and international players" said Mejia. "We’ve already have had great response from some amazing players to join the inaugural season of our WPSL team. The experience could prove to be extremely valuable in both the short and long-term." said Head Coach Mike Callisto.
Sessions will be based around possession exercises as well as 11 vs. 11 games, breaking down the tryouts into individual and team-based activities to ensure that all soccer skills are tested. Those who prove their talent will eventually be selected to play in the WPSL, the highest amateur women's soccer league in the US and just one level below Women's Professional Soccer.
