Multi-sport
The Visitation BVM CYO Program supports athletic activities from Kindergarten through the High School grades. Their primary focus is on character building, not the number of victories for the athletic program. Coaches are to aid in the development of children's physical potential, while at the same time refining spiritual, social, and personal traits. While teams can be competitive, first the children are educated on true sportsmanlike behavior. Visitation BVM CYO is a volunteer run organization.
The Challenge
Visitation BVM CYO of Norristown, Pennsylvania (VBVM) had challenges in getting their board members comfortable with automation – change is difficult – and getting parents comfortable with moving to paying by credit card online. This can be one of the largest hurdles in moving to online registration, so SportsSignup understood and eased their concerns.

By providing their administrator with a step by step system demonstration of how easy the system is to use – from both the admin perspective and also the registrant secure checkout process – Visitation BVM CYO was hooked after the first ten minutes. When registrants use the SportsSignup system to make payment via credit card, the payment information is entered on a secure web page, using SSL encryption and this was a very important feature for Visitation BVM CYO so they know their transactions were secure. They couldn’t believe how much time could be saved for all parties involved in their sports organization...from the volunteers, coaches, parents/etc. SportsSignup online sports registration has saved Visitation BVM CYO valuable time in so many ways.

By making the move to online sports registration with SportsSignup, Visitation BVM CYO has decreased their volunteer workload significantly which allows them more time to spend on other things. The system provided them with all the information they could possibly need by generating rosters, emailing parents, financial reports, admin reports and being able to segment payments for registrations made by credit cards or checks (just to name a few). Visitation BVM CYO loves the feature of being able to ask custom questions so their team parents can organize a season through a few strokes of the keyboard.
