The Dix Hills Soccer Club was formed in 1978 to allow our children to have fun learning and enjoying the game of soccer. The Club's emphasis is on teaching boys and girls the meaning of good sportsmanship and how to play soccer as individuals and as members of a team. Soccer demands both dedication and commitment from the player to perform at their best levels. It also demands dedication and commitment from parents to give their children proper training and positive support. The club continues to grow and currently has over 1,000 participants.
The Club has three soccer programs:
Intramurals consist of registered club players ages four to nine . Teams in the specific age divisions play each other for approximately 10 weekly games per season.
Inter-league can begin at age 9. It is a continuation of our intramural program where the numbers of our registered teams fall short of a full age division. It includes playing both home and away against other clubs participating in the Suffolk Soccer Interleague.
Travel is the highest level of soccer within the club. It begins for children who are 9 years old. Players must try out for competitive teams. Travel is highly regulated by the Long Island Junior Soccer League.
