Travel Team Tryouts 2012/2013 season

The EYSA, Eastchester Youth Soccer Assoc. will begin its tryouts this week. The tryouts are open to the residents of Eastchester, Bronxville and Tuckahoe only (*), including all players currently playing in our recreational program.

The tryouts will take place as follow:

- Boys & Girls born between 08/01/2001 and 07/31/2005 at Tuckahoe HS on the following dates:

** Tuesdays May 15th, 22nd, 29th 2012** from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

- Boys & Girls born prior to 07/31/2001 at Tuckahoe HS on the following dates:

** Thursdays May 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st 2012** from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

Players must register online for the tryouts, as well as upload a picture, there is no fee to register for the tryouts. Please bring a copy of your registration, along with a copy of the birth certificate or passport.
(*) Tryouts will be held after June 1st for all players currently playing on a non EYSA travel team and/or out of town players, information will be posted on our website.

Tryouts to be held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at Tuckahoe HS 6 pm during May.

Recreation League Soccer Fall '12 and Spring '13

Fee is $150.00 covering Fall and Spring. $20.00 surcharge after August 1.
Fee for Spring only is $110.

Recreation League

ELIGIBILITY for Fall 2012 /Spring 2013:
Residents of Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, born August 1,1997 through July 31, 2007. The Town of Eastchester requires that players be residents of the Town of Eastchester, which includes the villages of Tuckahoe and Bronxville. Accordingly, EYSA will disallow participation and return funds to those who are not residents.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
All applications are due by July 25. Fee is $150.00 covering Fall & Spring. Late registrations (received after August 1) may not be accepted due to space limitations and the fee will carry a $20 late surcharge after July 31. Payment is by credit card (preferred) or by check (option).

Registration by mail carries a $20.00 surcharge.
Team placements for late registrants may not be made until September 15.
Insurance will be in effect from September 1, 2012 through August 31, 2013, with the exception of late registrants, where there will be an indeterminate delay in the effective starting date for insurance.
Players who tried out for Travel Teams and have not yet been notified should register with the Rec League by July 20 to ensure a place. If the player ends up on a travel team, he/she should register in the travel section, pay the full travel fee by credit card, and their Rec League fee will be refunded by check in full.
No additional registration is required for the Spring 2013 session; players remain on the same team.
For players registering after the completion of the Fall 2012 season, the individual fee is $110 (sibling discount applies).
There is a sibling discount of $15 per each additional child registered.

PLACEMENT INFORMATION:
Players will be notified by coach about team placement and first practice (Saturday, September 8) as well as for the start of the spring season. Do not call the league if you have not heard---until Thursday, September 6!

Players moving up to new age groupings will not be moved with former teammates as a group and will be re-distributed; please refrain from making special requests for team placement.
Players will be given uniforms (shirt, short, hose). They need to have their own shin guards and soccer shoes.

Travel League

ELIGIBILITY:
Eligibility is determined by tryout. Dates, times, and age levels for tryouts are posted on the club website, www.eysoccer.com and are also available in the local newspapers. Any player that is placed on to a travel team will be contacted by their coach to inform them of what team/session for which to register.

The Town of Eastchester requires that players be residents of the Town of Eastchester, which includes the villages of Tuckahoe and Bronxville. Accordingly, EYSA maintains the right to disallow participation and return funds to those who are not residents.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
All Travel players should be registered by June 30 and after that date, need to contact their coach. Players that signed up for the recreational league will receive a full refund and should pay the travel fee in full at the time of registration. If a player does not make a travel team, they are still eligible to sign up for the recreational league until July 30.

REFUND POLICY:
Once you register, the following policy will be in effect: Any time prior to the first game of the season being played, you will be responsible for 25% of the total fee. Any time following the playing of the first game of the season but prior to the second game of the season being played, you will be responsible for 50% of the total fee, and immediately following the playing of the second game of the season you will not be entitled to any refund.

PAYMENT POLICY:
All payments to the travel program are required to be made by credit card only at the time of registration. Full year (Fall and Spring) registration is $550.00; mini-season and indoor registration is $400; registrations after March 15 is $300.

EYSA Information

Eastchester Youth Soccer will not deny participation to any player because of parent's inability to afford the registration fee. Such matters will be kept confidential. Contact the Registrar at the League phone.
