2011 TERRY TRUEBLOOD TOURNAMENT

This is a girls fastpitch recreational tournament in which games will be played by ASA rules as amended by our Divisional Rules found at www.icgs.org.
Our Divisions are Intermediate (4th/5th), Junior (6th/7th), Senior A (8th/9th/10th) & Senior B (11th/12th). A player MAY play up one Division. An 8th grader wishing to play up into the Senior B group will be permitted. Grades are based upon the grade completed in the 2010-2011 school year.
Each team will be guaranteed at least three games and each player will be provided a tournament t-shirt and a participation medal. Tournament shirts will be permitted as team shirts if needed. Each team will be provided a different color team shirt.
Tournament trophies will be awarded to the Tournament Champion and Runner-up in each Division. Sunday, June 26th will be our rain date. If no games are playable due to weather, a 50% refund will be made to each team. Tournament shirts & medals will still be provided to each registered team.
Iowa City Girls Softball has been providing girls the opportunity to have fun and learn about the game of softball for nearly 40 years. Terry Trueblood was the Iowa City Parks & Recreation Director from 1986 - 2009 and was instrumental in the success of Iowa City Girls Softball. We invite neighboring recreational programs to participate in this tournament honoring his life's work.
