2009/10 Intramural Soccer
The Intramural program is for league ages U5 to U13.
This is an introductory level where children of all abilities are placed on a team by the League Registrar. All efforts are made to keep the teams evenly matched. Players will be encouraged to try all positions and play at least half the game. Teams will play other teams from our league with all games played at the Sipp Avenue Complex. No scores or standings are posted as this is a non-competitive level of play. The uniform will consist of the PMYSL reversible jersey, black shorts and red socks. The white side of the jersey is worn by the designated "home" team and the red side is worn by the "away" team.
2009/10 Interleague Soccer
The Interleague program is for league ages U14 to U18.
This is an extension of our Intramural program; however, our teams must play teams from other neighborhoods due to reduced participation at the older levels. Players of all abilities are assigned to a team by the PMYSL Interleague Coordinator who reports to the PMYSL Registrar. All efforts are made to keep the teams evenly matched. Players will be encouraged to try all positions and play at least half the game.
Teams will be placed in the Suffolk Soccer Interleague program. They will play teams from other Suffolk County clubs. Approximately half of the games will be home games played at the Sipp Avenue Complex. The away games will be played at the home fields of the opposing team. No scores or standings are posted as this is a non-competitive level of play considered to be "scheduled scrimmages". Interleague teams are required to wear the official PMYSL white Interleague jersey, black shorts and red socks.
Travel Soccer 2009/10
The Travel program is for league ages U10 to U19. Tryouts will be held and players will be rated and selected by a PMYSL representative or by the coach of the team. Teams will be placed in the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL). They will play teams from other Suffolk or Nassau County clubs. The LIJSL separates the teams from each age group into divisions based upon geographic location (younger age groups) or skill level of the team (older age groups).
