Opening Day Celebration 2009!! Special Guest, Jessica Mendoza! Two Time U.S. Olympian!

Jessica Mendoza, a member of the 2004 and 2008 USA Olympic Softball teams will be our special guest for the RCGSL 2009 Opening Day Celebration on March 7, 2009!
Jessica will be with us for the day, starting with our opening ceremonies, then she'll meet the RCGSL players, sign autographs, talk softball, and end the day with a softball clinic held exclusively for RCGSL players from 2-4pm! Cost for clinic will be only $25 per player! An amazing price for 2 hours with someone who has been called "the most complete softball player in the world".
You can pay for the clinic during the online or walk-in registrations. The clinic is available to 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U players. However, space is limited so sign up early!
Here is a link to an article about Jessica from the USA Today. It's a great story, about a great athlete and even better person! Jessica is someone our girls can look up to as a great role model.

The RCGSL board recognizes that there are children within our geographic boundaries who would like to play but cannot afford the fees. As a result, RCGSL has established a fund to provide scholarships for those who need financial assistance. Contact the league through scholarships@rcgsl.org to be considered for a full or partial scholarship.
