Registration Information
Registration opens May 19, 2009 for the Travel Team Program and the Recreational Program. Play will begin in the fall of 2009 and continue in the spring of 2010. Please read all of the information below before you begin the online registration process.
Young children ages 4-10 should register in the Recreational Program. There are now four divisons: Co-ed U6 (for ages 6 and under), Co-ed U10 (ages 9-10), a Girls only U10 Recreational and Developmental program for girls in grades 2-4 and a U19 for anyone older than 10 who wants to play soccer but either never had the opportunity or is not interested in the committment of a travel team. This player will practice with the travel team that is most age appropriate but not play in the games. You must speak to a coach before registering for this last U19 option. For more information about this program contact Roger Quon, 845-876-6705 or quon@us.ibm.com.
If you are registering a child in the Travel Team Program, you need to know the division (BU13, BU14, etc.) and the team name (Rebels, Riot, etc.) before you start to register. If you are not sure, contact your coach. Do not signup for a travel team unless you have the permission of the coach. For more information about the Travel Team Program, contact Jon Gautier, 845-876-1086 or jongautier@yahoo.com.
You can pay by credit card or by check. If you choose to pay by check, mail it to: Rhinebeck Soccer League, PO Box 404, Rhinebeck, NY 12572.
Near the end of your online registration process, you will print out a copy of the "Registration Agreement." This needs to be signed and given to your coach along with a small "wallet size" photo with your child's name and team name on the back. If your child is playing for the first time you also need to send a copy of the birth certiificate.
Discounts:
If two or more children in your family are registering (Recreation or Travel Team Programs), the computer program will deduct $40.00 from your total bill for the second child and $20.00 for the third child.
Parents who serve as coaches, assistant coaches, board members, committee chairs and referees (level 8 and above) also receive discounts for their children. However, the computer program cannot process these discounts and will not show them for your total bill. To receive your discount, select the "pay by check" option and mail a check with the appropriate amount deducted.
- 100% discount for the first child if parent is head coach of a team.
- 50% discount for first child if parent is an assistant coach, board member, committee chair, or registered level 8 or better USYSA referee or assignor.
Volunteers
The Rhinebeck Soccer League depends on parent volunteers to keep things running smoothly and safely.
