The WYSL Select Camp will give the select team players the opportunity to train together as a team during the Westchester public school’s spring break week. Attendance at the Camp is strongly recommended for all WYSL Select players. The Camp will be offered exclusively to Select Boys and Girls from January 19th until to February 15th.
If space is available, Camp registration will be open to Non-Select Players on February 16th.
Please do not delay to avoid being closed out. Camp registration will be closed once our 200 campers’ capacity has been reach. Closed out players will be placed on a waiting list.
*Specific Training for Goal Keepers will be offered.
* All Campers will receive a Select Camp Tee-shirt. *Select Team Coaches will staff the Camp.
*Weekly Lunch Package is available.*
*Healthy snacks and water will be available for purchase daily.
All Campers must wear cleats and shin pads, and bring a soccer ball. If rain is forecasted, please bring indoor shoes.

The WYSL Select Program offers a unique opportunity for the most talented and committed players within the WYSL a chance to come together on one county wide all-star team to further extend their skills by training and competing at a faster pace and higher level of play. Players who are invited into the Select Program are trained by the area’s top level coaches under the US Youth Soccer national training curriculum. This level of training is not normally available to players at the club team level. Please refer to our “Select Program Overview” on the WYSL web site at: www.wyslsoccer.org for complete details and player requirements of the Select Program.
Registration is now open. All players must be complete registered by Friday October 16. Players not registered by this date are subject to forfeiting their roster position.
Due to insurance requirements only registered players will be allowed unto the Select practice fields.
Weather permitting, practice will begin on Monday Oct 19.

Please Note: NEW FOR 2009:
Players may roster for both the Eastern New York State ODP program and the WYSL Select Program. In cases of scheduling conflict between the WYSL Select Program and State ODP Program, players are to attend the State ODP event. All fees for the State ODP program are in addition to WYSL Select Program fees.

2009/2010 Boys & Girls 1999 & 2000 Developmental Teams
The 2009/2010 Select Program will be forming girls and boys 1999 and 2000 Developmental Teams. All committed WYSL players born in 1999 and 2000 (maximum of a 50 player pool, per gender) will be accepted into the program. There are no tryouts for these teams. These county-wide Developmental Teams will stress small-sided games to promote ball skill and control under the guidelines of US Youth Soccer Player Development System. The goal is to provide a “pressure-free”, higher level of fundamental training not normally available to players of this age on their local club team.

Players closed out of enrollment will be put on a wait list and notified of any openings.

Spring Only - Developmental Team Boys & Girls 1999 & 2000
Players born in 2000 and 1999 are considered developmental level and do not participate in summer tournaments.
Developmental teams stress small-sided games to promote ball skill and control under the guidelines of US Youth Soccer player development system. The goal is to provide a “pressure-free”, higher level of training not generally available to players of this age at the local WYSL club team level. This program culminates with an intra--league round robin-like scrimmage games (or an event of a similar nature) at the end of June. No tryouts are required to join our Developmental teams. A maximum player pool of 40 players per gender, per age bracket will be accepted into this program.
Practice sessions are on Monday evenings and we resume for the spring session beginning Monday March 15th and are schedule from 6:00 to 7:00 PM for Boys teams at Tibbetts park and Girls teams from 5:30 - 6:30 at Saxon Woods (check with your Team Manager once teams are formed to confirm exact times and locations) and continue until Monday, June 14th, with the intra-league scrimmage type event.

Select Tryout 2009-2010
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the WYSL Select online registration system. The cost of the tryout is $25.00 which will cover a tryout tee shirt that players keep after the process is
over.
The teams for the coming season will consist of boys and girls born in 1998, 1997,1996, 1995, 1994. Please register for the tryout consistent with your son/daughter's birth date. NO ONE IS PERMITTED TO PLAY UP, OR PLAY DOWN IN AGE - there are no exceptions.
If your child was born in 1999 or 2000, do not register for the tryout.
Registration for these younger ages will take place at a later date.
* In order to complete your tryout registration, you must "check out"
your order at the end with payment type. Credit Card or Checks accepted. If you are using payment by check, the check must be received no later than 3 days after registering.
Spring Only - Select Boys & Girls 94, 95, 96,97,98
Spring tournament team candidates are first to contact the appropriate team manger who will coordinate with the coaching director about setting up a practice/tryout when the practice session resume in March.
Candidates are to register for a tryout for this spring session. The link is still active on the site.
It is up to the coaching director / team coach to determine that there is a position available on a particular team and after the tryout determine that the player has the appropriate level of skill.
If the coaching director approves, they are cleared to register on line.
At this time there is limited space available on most teams.
